Through projects like PraC-MARENG, SeaSAFER, SEA MENTORS, SEA4SHORE, we develop language training accident training, mentoring and career planning tools that are freely available online, helping professionals advance their skills regardless of their location or prior opportunities.
2. Build Digital Learning for the Future of Maritime
The future of maritime education is digital. MARITIME INNOVATORS develops interactive learning platforms, e-learning modules, and simulation-based training that equip maritime professionals with essential communication, safety, and leadership skills. Initiatives such as SeaSAFER and PraC-MARENG demonstrate how technology can transform traditional maritime training into flexible, accessible, and engaging learning environments.
3. Promote Sustainability and Green Awareness
Sustainability is a growing concern in the maritime sector. MARITIME INNOVATORS integrates environmental awareness into maritime training programs, helping professionals understand the role they play in greener ship operations and port activities. Looking ahead, our projects will expand to include content on energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and climate-smart shipping practices.

Through our international partnerships, MARITIME INNOVATORS builds connections between maritime schools, shipping companies, and training providers across Europe. Our Erasmus+ projects bring together partners from across Europe and other countries, fostering teamwork, cultural understanding, and shared solutions for maritime workforce challenges.

MARITIME INNOVATORS uses data-driven research and practical experience to address safety and workforce challenges in the maritime industry. By analyzing accident data and career trends, we identify ways to reduce human error, strengthen safety culture, and support smoother career transitions between sea and shore.
2. Help Maritime Industries Become More Innovative and Competitive
We work with maritime companies and training institutions to strengthen their digital capacity and improve the recognition of professional qualifications. Platforms like ENDORSEME help maritime workers share their certifications across borders, creating a more mobile and competitive maritime workforce.
3. Encourage Maritime Stakeholders to Work Across Borders
Collaboration across countries and sectors is at the heart of our projects. MARITIME INNOVATORS builds international partnerships with maritime academies, research centers, and technology developers to co-create solutions that address shared industry challenges. Our projects connect expertise from at least 5–7 European countries, fostering meaningful cross-border collaboration.
