MARITIME INNOVATORS Contributes to the Launch of the Erasmus+ Skills4Sea Project

MARITIME INNOVATORS proudly participates as a Coordination Support Partner in the Erasmus+ KA220-VET Cooperation Partnership project Skills4Sea, which will officially be launched today in Athens, hosted by Metropolitan College (AKMI).

Running from 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2027, Skills4Sea aims to strengthen the identification, assessment, and recognition of non-formal and transversal skills of maritime professionals. The project addresses a key challenge in the maritime sector: making skills acquired through experience at sea visible, comparable, and transferable across education, training, and employment contexts in Europe.

Within the partnership, MARITIME INNOVATORS supports:

  • coordination and quality assurance processes,
  • alignment with EU policy frameworks,
  • contribution to innovation-driven methodologies for skills recognition,
  • dissemination and stakeholder engagement at European level.

The project consortium brings together leading maritime education and training institutions and sector experts from across Europe, including partners from Greece, Türkiye, Belgium, Bulgaria, and Spain.

Through Skills4Sea, MARITIME INNOVATORS continues its mission to actively contribute to the modernisation, sustainability, and inclusiveness of European maritime education and training systems.

Skills4Sea is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
