MARITIME INNOVATORS to Host Skills4Sea Round Table Discussion in Türkiye
As part of the Skills4Sea project, MARITIME INNOVATORS will organise a national round table discussion in Türkiye, bringing together selected experts from different professional domains.
The session will focus on the role of non-technical skills in maritime operations, education, and training, with a structured and multidisciplinary perspective.
The round table will include representatives from the following areas:
- Regulatory & Institutional Representatives
- Academic & Training Expert
- Ship Management & Operational Experts
- Human Factors Specialist
- Deck Engineer
- Engineer
This invitation-only online session will involve a small group of selected experts and will last approximately one hour.
The discussion will explore how key competencies such as communication, teamwork, leadership, and decision-making can be better identified, developed, and integrated into maritime training systems.
The round table is currently in the planning phase, with potential dates set for April 2026.
The outcomes of this discussion will contribute directly to the development of the Skills4Sea methodology, supporting more effective, realistic, and human-centred approaches to maritime education and training.
