The PraC-MARENG project in association with its partnership consortium will hold a project conference supported by the European Commission titled “Practical Communicative Approach in Maritime English” introducing PraC-MARENG project outputs. The conference will be held at Sky Center La Marseillaise – 2bis Bd Euromediterranée Quai d’Arenc, 13002 Marseille on the 21st October 2021.
The conference targets academics, maritime professionals, international organisations and policy makers who are interested in working towards improving communication standards at sea.
The conference will be hosted by LAM FRANCE in collaboration with the PraCMARENG partnership. The partnership involved in the PraC-MARENG project (https://www.prac-mareng.com) developed a learning program considering different ranks of seafarers, taking into account the experience they need in Maritime English based on the real activities specific to each type of vessel.
The aim of the conference is to inform local, national and international maritime authorities, organisations and professional bodies about the PraC-MARENG approach, and to interact with MET policymakers, suppliers and end-users to gain feedback for the outputs of the project.
We invite you to attend the conference as a relevant member of the target audience. There will be PraC-MARENG Partners attending the reception and introducing their project contribution.
Topics being touched in the presentations will cover: • PraC-MARENG platform • Practices in Maritime English approaches in EU countries • Demonstrating the need for tools for Maritime English • Enabling further mobility of seafarers across Europe and Worldwide
